A true throwback mid-century roadside motel. Like all of Marfa, the Thunderbird is artistically decorated and has a very modern vibe. It is the most budget-friendly of all the options. It has a very hip and fun vibe and offers fire pits, ping pong tables, and board games for anyone who wants a little fun during our downtime. They also have a typewriter and record player in the guest lounge, truly allowing you to go analog.

Known as the most elegant hotel from El Paso to San Antonio, Hotel Paisano is the most historical of all the hotels listed. Travel back in time with furniture that dates to the 1950s and has a truly authentic Old Time Texas feel. There are great fireplaces to sit and enjoy an evening discussion or curl up and read a book. A heated pool is a great option for anyone who feels like taking an early morning or afternoon dip. And, they are known for their spicy margarita if you feel adventurous! Fun fact: Hotel Paisano has hosted many artists and creatives over the years, including Rock Hudson, Elizabeth Taylor, and James Dean, while they filmed the Best Picture Oscar-winning film Giant – you’ll see themes of this throughout the hotel. Paisano is a great choice for its comfortable accommodations and rich history. This is a great option if you want to unwind on your own.

Getting To
Marfa is a haven deep in West Texas amidst Big Bend National Park and nestled between the Chisos, Davis and Chinati Mountains. It takes a bit to get to, but is more than worth it once you arrive.
